  • September Class Arrangements

    Mon 19 Jun 2023

    Morning all,

I hope you had a lovely weekend.

On Thursday June 29th we will be having our moving up day in school.

The class arrangements for September are as follows:

Early Years ( Reception and Nursery) - Miss Pyle

    Y1 Class - Mrs Seamons

Y2 Class - New teacher to be appointed

Y3/4 - 3 mixed classes with either Mrs Lloyd, Miss Mansell or Mr Lewis

    Y5 - Miss Clark

    Y6 - Mr Regulski

Class 5 - SNRB Mrs Tomlins

Children moving into Y2 in September will spend the day with Mrs Moyle and will have chance to meet their new teacher once the interview process is complete.

Y6 will be visiting their new schools and the new schools should have sent you information about the day.

More dates will be shared over the coming weeks about parent/carer meetings for new nursery and reception intake.

    Many thanks,

    Mrs Robbins

  • Health and Fitness Fortnight

    Sun 18 Jun 2023

This week is the 2nd week of our Health & Fitness Fortnight.

Last week, the infants took part in their sports day and other fitness activities. The juniors started to explore healthy food and ways of keeping healthy, including physical and mental well-being!

This week we will be looking for ‘Healthiest Lunch Box’ for the children that bring packed lunch, and ‘Balanced Choices’ for our school dinners pupils.

Please remember that fresh fruit is available in school for a healthy snack, at just 20p per day (£1 for the week) or you can bring your own fruit to school.

Thank you for your support, as always!

    Mrs Seamons

  • Warm Weather

    Tue 13 Jun 2023

    Morning all,

It is going to be so very hot all the rest of this week so please make sure your children have lots of sun cream on, a bottle for water which can be easily refilled, a hat and also have had sun cream applied.

We are also happy for children to wear really basic uniform such as a school t shirt with some shorts, or their PE kit so that they can keep cool as possible.

Please be gently reminded we don’t allow flip flops but safe sandals with straps are fine.

Thankfully due to the age of our building it does stay quite cool inside.

    Many thanks,

    Mrs Robbins

  • Teacher Training Day - Monday 12th June

    Fri 09 Jun 2023

Afternoon all, just a reminder that Monday is a Teacher training day. We look forward to seeing the children on Tuesday. Many thanks.

  • Safety Reminders

    Thu 08 Jun 2023

    Good afternoon all,

Just some gentle reminders please following some complaints I have received today:

    1) Under no circumstances should cars pull up to drop children off or wait on the yellow zig zag lines. This applies to before and after school and breakfast club.

This morning when I was arriving at school just before 8.10 a number of parents had pulled in on the zig zag lines to let children out. I frequently see parents who are running late just stop in the middle of the road for children to get out. Even if it is inconvenient you must park safely and walk your children or watch them walk safely to school.

    2) If you decide to wait with your child before school starts, please do so on the pavement or yard. Please do not wait in the road or stand and chat in the road. It is unsafe and makes it difficult for our crossing lady.

    3) Finally, if your child does not come to breakfast club please remember we are not responsible for your children until 8.50.

Again this morning, at 8.40ish there were a large number of children who had been left unsupervised on yards.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

    Many thanks for your cooperation.

  • Online Safety Session

    Sun 04 Jun 2023

    Evening all,

I hope you all had a lovely week in the sunshine.

We are looking forward to welcoming the children back to school tomorrow.

On Tuesday 3.30-4 Miss Clark and Miss Mansell will be doing an online safety information session for parents/carers.

We would love to see as many of you as possible. It will be held in a junior classroom so please come in through main reception.

We will run this again in a few weeks time if you are unable to make this session, so please don’t worry.

    Many thanks,

    Mrs Robbins

    Thu 25 May 2023

    Afternoon all,

Just some reminders for tomorrow 😊

It’s pyjama day so children can wear their pyjamas or a dressing gown for a suggested donation of £1 to the PTA.

There is a PTA meeting at school at 9.15 for anyone who would like to attend.

10.30-11.30 is baby and toddler play in the infant hall.

I hope you all have a lovely half term. We return to school on Monday June 5th.
Don’t forget Monday 12th June is a training day so school is closed to children.
    Thank you,

    Mrs Robbins

  • Class Assemblies

    Wed 24 May 2023

    Morning all,

I’m really looking forward to the class assemblies today!

Class 1 assembly is this morning in Zion Church at 9.15.

Class 2 assembly is this afternoon at 2.30 in the junior hall.

Good luck to the Y3/4 representing the school at TAG rugby today and also to Y5/6 who will be designing towers this afternoon in a competition against other local schools.

    What a busy day ahead!

    Thank you,

    Mrs Robbins
