Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
BOUNCY CASTLE UPDATE
We are saddened to let you know that the bouncy castle day has had to be moved through no fault of the school. We have rebooked it for the first Friday back after half term, Friday 6th June. If you have given permission for your child to take part this will carry forward to then.
Understandably some children are a little disappointed so we will be finding opportunities to do something fun throughout the day, making the best of our outdoors to help keep smiles on their faces.
Morning all,
Don’t forget that it’s the last day in school for the children today before the half term break and so it’s bouncy castle fun day!
There’s no cost but you must have returned your permission slip or sent a message on dojo stating you wish your child to take part.
Tomorrow is our INSET day.
Many thanks and have a wonderful half term!

Good morning everyone!
Just a couple of reminders - Tomorrow (Thursday) is bouncy castle fun day! Please make sure you have given permission for your child so that they can take part.
Friday is an INSET day so there will be no school for the children.
Thank you!
Good Morning,
Please see attached activities run by Caerphilly Sports over the Half Term.
Thank you
Good evening,

ATHLETICS 🥇🏆
We had a fantastic day at the athletics today. The children were amazing and worked so hard. The boys came away with a win in the Relay 🙌
TEAM CWMCARN 🏆
Good morning,
It has been brought to our attention that several of our older learners have been added to a huge Whatsapp group - against their wishes. The group in question involves huge numbers of people of all ages across the globe. Most alarming is that inappropriate content and images have been shared in this group.
Can we please remind all parents and carers that apps such as Whatsapp shouldn't really be allowed for children under the age of 13 specifically because of this risk. We urge all parents again to discuss this risk with their children and check their phones regularly, and make sure that children only access age appropriate content.
All of our children have had lessons on internet safety, and we will be talking to learners again about the risks of apps like Whatsapp. We also commend the children who have brought this concern to our attention and encourage such mature behaviour going forward.
Thank you in advance for your support

NSPCC Assembly
We will be delivering an assembly and running workshops on staying safe and speaking out over the weeks leading up to the summer holidays. Please read over the attached letter for more details and how to withdraw your child if you wish.
Many thanks
Mr Regulski
Afternoon all,
Bouncy Castle Funday letters were sent home yesterday.
Please don’t worry about payment. We have had a small amount of money come into school unexpectedly and so we have decided to run this for free.
I know there’s lots to pay for at the moment particularly in some year groups so we hope this will help.
There were about 7 of you who sent the money in today. Mrs Hackling will send it back home for you.
Many thanks and enjoy the sunshine!
Mrs Beard-Robbins
There's still a few days to collect any sponsorship money for last week's visit from Natalie Powell, here’s a reminder of the great prizes you’ll get for your fundraising efforts in this short video:

Remember that the money raised will go towards new sports equipment to improve levels of physical activity in our school! If you’ve not sponsored your child yet, now is a great time to reward them for their hard work. You can sponsor them online here: https://sportal.greatathletes.org/events/landing, or bring the cash in with your sponsorship form.
