Morning all,
We have a busy and exciting week ahead!
Today Y4 and some of class 5 are going to Newbridge and to see their production of ‘ Mary Poppins’.
Tomorrow is our bouncy castle fun day.
Thursday and Friday are the performances of ‘ Robin Hood and the Sherwood Hoodies’.
Also we have some assessments this week as a school. On Tuesday we are being assessed to see if we have reached the threshold for our bronze ‘ Cymraeg Campus’ award and on Thursday our Eco Flag assessment.
What a busy week! As always, please message your teacher or the office if you have any questions.
Many thanks,
Mrs Robbins

Good morning.
Our ‘Moving Up Day’ yesterday was a great success and the children enjoyed the many activities that hopefully helped to settle any ‘new class nerves’!
It is a change that happens at the end of every academic year. Whilst it is very exciting, it can also be a bit daunting.
Change can be difficult. Even some adults are overwhelmed by change. We appreciate that some of our learners may be finding the change of class and teacher, a bit tricky.
The teachers have considered the classes very carefully. We ask that you allow your child time to adjust and settle in their new classes before we would consider any changes.
Thank you for your continued support.
Mrs Seamons
Morning all,
I wanted to say a huge thanks to my staff who gave up their time to support the PTA disco last night and also to the PTA for their hard work in organising it.
Following the PJ day and the disco the PTA have raised over £500 and we still have our bouncy fun day left to go.
Thanks so much to all of you for supporting these events.
Another busy day in school today with move up day!
We wish our Y6 lots of luck too as they visit their new schools.
Only 3 weeks left of this term!
Mrs Robbins
Good Afternoon,
Please see below the ‘Common Infections Guidance’ from the NHS that we have to adhere to.
Many Thanks,
Mrs Reardon
We have a wooden teepee in our school garden. It’s perfect for hiding away from the hustle & bustle of the school day to read a book or relax.
We have some lovely giant cushions to go inside it.
However… the cats of Cwmcarn like to use it for their afternoon nap and as much as we love animals, we do not want them in our teepee.
Would anybody have some sensible, ingenious ideas for how we could make a simple door for the teepee to keep unwanted visitors out? Some suggestions have included a modified roller blind with hook lock at the base, or waterproof fabric.
If you have a good idea to share then please message me directly using dojo messages.
Thank you,
Mrs Seamons ☺️
