• Video Message From Mrs Robbins on Class Dojo

  Please visit Class Dojo to watch the video of Mrs Robbins updating us on changes happening in the New Year.

   

  In case you are unable to watch or are not on Class Dojo Mrs Robbins is advising us that pupils will not return to school until Thursday 6th January 2022.  The 4th and 5th January are to be used as planning days by staff as directed by The Welsh Government.  There is also an inset day planned for Friday 14th January 2022.

   

   

• Staff Positive for Covid in Nursery / Class 1

  Unfortunately one of the staff who was in work last week has tested positive for covid.
  
  Please all keep an extra careful eye on your children.
  
  I know it’s difficult as under 5’s are not now routinely tested.
  
  If your child seems at all unwell please keep them home.

  Please be extra careful and book for a PCR test if your child is over 5 and they begin to show any symptoms.

• Christmas Dinner Day & Christmas Jumper Day Reminder

  Morning all,
  
  Christmas dinner day ❤️
  
  It is Christmas Jumper day on Friday. I have arranged for a photographer to come in and take a picture of all the children in their jumpers. You can buy a 7x5 gloss print of this for £2.
  
  In order to have this by the end of term you would need to send the £2 in on Friday in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name, class and stating ‘ Jumper Photo’.
  
  Just an idea but you could buy a few and put them in a nice frame. They’d make lovely Xmas gifts!

• PTA Christmas Raffle

  Message from our PTA:
  
  This week the PTA will be hosting a raffle. Letters will be sent home with children today along with a slip that can be returned with money. There will also be sellers on the yard at pick up times so please bring change if you can to buy tickets.
  
  Tickets are £1 each and must be purchased by Monday 13th December. Winners will be drawn on Wednesday 15th December so that they can be collected before the end of term.
  
  There are a number of exciting prizes on offer including:
  
  4 family swim tickets for Newbridge Leisure Centre
  2 children tickets for Manor Wildlife Park
  Box of amazing ‘Ellie’s Brownies’

  We would like to thank you all for the support you have given the PTA this year. Money raised from this raffle will go towards new Astro turf for the infant yard and new resources for Breakfast club.
  
  We really hope that next year will give us more opportunities to raise money for the school. If you are able to give a little bit of time to help at future events please get in touch with us via the PTA Facebook page or school reception. You don’t have to attend every meeting or event but the more of us that can work together the more events and money we can raise!

• Reminder Regarding Lateral Flow Tests if Unwell

  Good morning,
  
  Please can I remind you all that if your child is unwell a lateral flow test will not give a true result.
  
  The lateral flow tests were not meant to test unwell children/adults.
  
  We’ve had a number of messages this morning where parents/carers have said their child is unwell but they’ve had a negative lateral flow.
  
  If your child is unwell with symptoms a PCR test needs to be booked.
