Please can the pavement outside the Junior school gate be kept clear at the start and end of the school day unless you are collecting your child.

Yesterday there was a lot of congestion during the time our children with complex needs were being taken to the taxis.

It would help us greatly if you are coming from the Foundation Phase building, to cross on the corner with Mrs Tomkins.

    Many thanks
  • Message From Mrs Robbins - Regarding Wrap Around Care

    Tue 23 Feb 2021
    Good morning,

We have been asked to keep a list of any pupils who use wrap around care or other childcare outside of school so that if we have any positive cases we know who else to contact.

If you do use a childminder or any wrap around please could you let the office know - 01495 270494 or dojo your child’s teacher and they will pass it onto the office.

    Many thanks,

    Mrs Robbins

  • Share The Love This Valentine's Day #Newbridgehearts

    Mon 08 Feb 2021

    Morning all,

I have posted a lovely opportunity to get involved with a Newbridge project for Valentine's Day. All of our local schools will be getting involved. The aim is to fill the area with hearts in the window and spread a bit of cheer!

    Good afternoon,

I’m sure you’ve seen the news today that all Foundation Phase children will be returning to school, at some point, during the week after half term.

When I’m clearer on all the details I will make a video and post early next week.

Ks2 will be continuing learning at home. We will still provide face to face learning for key worker children and other children who need more support as we do currently.

    Have a good weekend!

  • Message From Mrs Reid - Children's Mental Health Week

    Wed 03 Feb 2021
I hope you are all well and staying safe.

This week is Children's Mental Health week. There are some lovely websites with videos, information and ideas for activities which may be useful for you to look and and use at home.

There is a virtual assembly which would be a really good starting point for discussing mental health with children, you can find the assembly here https://youtu.be/zisXE4KlLAI

The Children's Mental Health website has lots of information and activities for schools and parents https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/

Another lovely website a parent shared with me this week is https://www.wildlifewatch.org.uk/childrens-mental-health-week-2021
It has lots of lovely ideas for using the outdoors and nature to help mental health in children (and adults!)

I hope you find some of these websites and activities useful.

If you have any concerns about your child's mental health please contact their class teacher to discuss your concerns.
