  • Reminders

    Sun 17 Mar 2024

    Evening all,

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

Just a little reminder from me that parents/carers can request a meeting with any member of staff at any time through dojo or ringing the office. If you have any concerns or questions please don’t hesitate to request a meeting.

After Easter we will be having our next set of parent consultation as well, where you can look at your children’s work and discuss their progress.

We’ve run lots of workshops lately and those parents who attended felt they knew a lot more about how the school works and asked lots of questions too.

The next workshop after Easter will be about how children are taught according to their ability and in a progressive way.

Enjoy the rest of the evening,

    Mrs Robbins

  • Comic Relief Day

    Thu 14 Mar 2024

    Morning,

Don’t forget we are doing Comic Relief in school today so the children can wear their own clothes. We know how tight money is so any donations will be welcome. We suggest £1 but please don’t worry if you have lots of children in the school just send in what you can manage. We will pass it all on to Comic Relief.

We’ll be holding a joke competition today too. We might even share the winners on here later.

    Thank you,

    Mrs Robbins

  • Traffic Congestion Outside School

    Wed 13 Mar 2024

    Good Morning,

Unfortunately, outside of school this morning there was a serious issue with traffic congestion. Thankfully, no one was injured and everyone arrived to school safely. Thank you to those parents/grandparents that helped.

We have contacted Highways today and requested a PCSO to attend school during the morning rush to monitor the traffic. We understand that congestion and parking issues arise, but if we can work together to resolve the issues, we are making it a safer environment for school pupils, staff and residents.

We as a school are always looking for ways to make the drop off and pick up times as simple and as safe as possible. Since the incident this morning, we have decided that, to ease the traffic congestion even further, we are asking the taxi's that bring our Special Resource Base children to school, to now drop off at the side of school (Pond Row Lane) where the children can come through the double gates as it's quieter for them at 9:00am. Please can we ask that people are patient with us if the lane is blocked for a very short period of time, before school at 9:00am and when the children leave at 3:00pm. This will be implemented from tomorrow morning (14/3/24).

Please can we also ask that if the green cones are placed outside of school, people leave them where they are, not moving them or driving over them. They are placed there to make a safe crossing zone for the children. Can we also refrain form parking on double yellow lines and the zig zag lines. We appreciate that sometimes if we're rushing it is tempting to park up quickly to let your child out of the car, but if one person does this, that then leads to more. The safety of our children is paramount.

We thank you for your continued support and cooperation as always.

    Many thanks,

    Mrs Reardon

  • Busy Week Ahead

    Mon 11 Mar 2024

    Morning all,

Another busy week ahead. Our older children have their trips to Sophia Gardens this week, some going on Tuesday and some on Friday.

For that reason we are celebrating Comic Relief on Thursday. Children can wear their own clothes and a red nose if they’d like. Get your best jokes ready as each class will be having a joke competition. Any donations on that day will be sent to Comic Relief.

    Thank you,

    Mrs Robbins

  • Well Being workshop

    Thu 07 Mar 2024

    Morning all,

Just a reminder that online tonight from 6-6.30 is a short workshop about children’s well being. So far only 3 parents have sent me their email to join the meeting.

We would love to have a few more if possible? You can send me your email today if you’d like to come.

Mr Regulski sent out a survey to you all recently about well being. There were only a small number of people who responded but quite a few said they didn’t know enough about the school’s well being processes, so tonight’s meeting would really help.

I will re-post Mr Regulski’s survey in class pages later in case anyone else has time to fill it in.

    Many thanks,

    Mrs Robbins
