Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Evening all,
A number of children left school today when they were due to be in after school clubs. Some had decided they just didn’t fancy it this evening.
Going forward if your child is signed up to a club they will only be excused from that club if a parent has sent in a dojo message or note.
This is not to be grumpy but because we are trying to encourage commitment but it’s also a safeguarding issue. We need to know where the children are.
Many thanks,
Mrs Robbins
Good Afternoon,
Please see the attached leaflet with free events being held at Oxford House, Risca during Half Term.
Many thanks
Good Afternoon,
Could I politely ask parents to be mindful where they are parking whilst dropping off and collecting their children please.
Can we please refrain from parking on single or double lines as it’s causing an obstruction to other pedestrians. This is also dangerous as it blocks the view of adults with younger children.
Many thanks for your cooperation, it’s appreciated.
Mrs Reardon
Good Morning,
Please see the attached document regarding - CAMHS Online Wellbeing Workshop during Half Term.
Many thanks
Good evening all.
Just a reminder for those interested in our ‘Managing Challenging Behaviour’ session, on Thursday at 4pm. Please come to the main office.

Good evening all,
Just a Sunday evening reminder that there are no after school clubs this week due to parent consultations.
Clubs will run as normal the following week, before half term.
Many thanks,
Mrs Robbins
CONGRATULATIONS 🥳 👏🏃♂️
Well done to all our runners who attended the Cross Country Tournament today.
We were so proud of how much effort you put into your races.
You are all a credit to Cwmcarn Primary School.
We’d also like to thank the Breakfast Club staff for donating money towards the cost of the bus today. Very much appreciated.
Mrs Reardon
Morning all,
As next week is Parent Consultation week there will be no after school clubs as all teachers will be busy seeing parents.
Clubs will then continue the week after that before half term.
Also, out of the 204 children eligible for a flu nasal spray on Friday only 113 have given consent so far. Please can I encourage the rest of you to complete the forms.
If you do not want your child to have the nasal spray please still fill in the form and choose the option of no permission.
Final reminder that Friday before half term ( Friday 27th October ) is an INSET day.
Many thanks,
Mrs Robbins
Morning all,
We have been able to fill one of the parent vacancies on the Governing Body but still have one space remaining.
Lucy Simmonds Dickens will now be a parent Governor.
We also have a new community Governor, Amy Preece-Jones who was previously our Chair of Governors takes this spot as she no longer has children in the school.
Please get in touch with me if you would like to ask questions/know more about the role.
Many thanks,
Mrs Robbins.
