  • ESTYN Inspection

    Fri 27 Sep 2024

    ESTYN Inspection

    Morning all,

On behalf of the whole team we would like to thank our parents/carers and pupils for all of their support this week during our inspection.

    The children were amazing!

Our inspection report will be published on November 25th and until then the findings are confidential.

It was a very positive experience and I look forward to being able to share the report with you in November.

    Have a lovely weekend!

    Mrs Beard-Robbins

    Final reminder -

Non uniform and crazy hair/hat day tomorrow!

Don’t forget your £1 donations for PTA ☺️

  • Trips

    Thu 26 Sep 2024

    Morning all,

It’s the last day parents/carers can bring in permission slips and money for Class 4, 6, 7 and 8 trips.

Watch this space Classes 1-3 and 5 as your trip news will be coming out soon!

    Many thanks,

    Mrs Beard-Robbins

  • School Absences

    Mon 23 Sep 2024

    Morning all,

If your child is off school unwell please could you message Mrs Reardon our attendance officer. Mrs Reardon has rung a few parents/carers this morning and these parents had sent messages to the class teacher already.

The trouble we have is that if the teachers are teaching your children they can’t check their messages until lunch. It would really help if you sent a message to Mrs Reardon. ☺️

Finally don’t forget Friday is crazy hair/hat day with a suggested donation of £1 to PTA.

    Many thanks,

    Mrs Beard-Robbins

  • ESTYN Inspection Next Week

    Fri 20 Sep 2024

    Morning all,

As we have previously shared our ESTYN inspection is next week. It starts at midday on Monday and finishes on Wednesday evening. We are all really looking forward to showing the inspection team our wonderful pupils and community.

Can I please remind you that there is a meeting for parents/carers in the school hall at 3.30pm on Monday with a couple of the inspectors where you will have chance to share what you think the school does well. They may also ask some questions as a result of what came out of the parent questionnaires. It would be really good if we had a decent turn out at the meeting. During the meeting we are able to look after school children for you. Sadly, we can’t look after babies/toddlers but you can take them with you. These meetings don’t usually take too long.

If anyone has any questions, please just drop me a dojo.

    Have a lovely weekend all!

    Mrs Beard-Robbins

  • Flu Vaccinations in School Today

    Wed 18 Sep 2024

    Dear Parent/Guardian,

The school nursing service are at school today offering pupils a nasal flu spray vaccine. Consents can still be completed today.

The NHS recommends that your child has a flu vaccination every year.

It’s very important to protect your child from flu to make sure they stay as healthy as possible. The best flu vaccine for most children is a nasal spray. This is the vaccine that will be given today.

The online consent form and additional information can be found here: https://linktr.ee/schoolfluab

To help make sure the vaccine is suitable for your child, and they don’t miss out, please take time to read the information and follow the link to complete the electronic consent form. Consent can still be given today for the vaccine.

Should you have any difficulties accessing the above link, please contact 01633 431685 for further support.

  • Online Safety

    Sun 15 Sep 2024

    Good afternoon everyone!

Digital gaming has become increasingly popular among children and so we would like to send out a reminder of the importance for both parents and children in understanding appropriate online behaviour.

It is important that children are accessing content that is age-appropriate to them and this includes many of the online gaming platforms that they are using. I have attached some guides of the games that are becoming increasingly popular – please note the age restrictions for these as some of them are much higher than primary-aged children, including 18+.

We ask that you also support the work that we are doing with the children around online-safety by continuing to be vigilant by monitoring your children’s behaviour and conduct when online – particularly swearing, and using inappropriate or unkind language.

You can find more information about online safety here: https://hwb.gov.wales/keeping-safe-online/in-the-know/

If you would like any further information about online safety or age restrictions, please feel free to contact us. By fostering an open dialogue and encouraging responsible gaming practices, we can help cultivate a positive online environment for your children!

    Many thanks
    Miss Mansell
