• Dinner Money

  A significant number of parents are behind with paying for school lunches. Please can you come to the office as soon as possible to pay and make sure you are up to date?

• PE Kit

  We are having a focus on PE kit. It is 'Tweak of the Week' for our Juniors this week. Any child without their PE kit on the appropriate day will have a sanction. PE is a statutory part of the National Curriculum of Wales, we are becoming concerned about the increasing number of children unable to take part because of unsuitable clothing.

• ICT club

  ICT club will be on Tuesday 19th April next week, instead of Thursday. This is only for one week, club will then resume back to Thursdays.

• National Testing

  The National Tests for Y2-6 will take place from May 4th -11th.

  No holidays will be authorized during this time.

• Nits - Again!

  We are still having problems with head lice in school. We have sent a series of letters home. Please check your children's hair regularly and treat it should this be required. We appreciate how frustrating it is if you are treating your child, but they are still picking up head lice. We will only overcome this issue if all parents are vigilant in this matter. If you need help with treating this problem please come and ask us for advice or we can refer parents to the Nurse if they would like more help.

• Mr de Snyder's Class

  Mr De Snyder has been called for Jury Service and so will not be in school till after Easter. We have secured Mr Thomas to teach in his class from next Monday (February 29th). Mr Thomas is a very good supply teacher and we have every confidence in him. 

• Gymnastics Club

  Gymnastics Club has now finished for this half term. A new Gym club will start up the second week after half term, but this will be for children who missed out last time.

  This ensures that all the children have an opportunity.

• Lunchtimes and Mrs Reardon

  We would be really grateful if parents could avoid lunchtime as a time to pop in to see Mrs Reardon.

  This last week we have noticed an increase of the number of parents coming in between 12.15-1.

  This is when Mrs Reardon takes her lunch break. Also during this time Mrs Robbins and Mr Saunders are helping with lunchtime supervision.

  Of course, if there is an urgent problem then we are happy to help; but if not could we please ask that you choose another time to call in.
