Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Evening all,
I wanted to say a huge thank you to Jess and Robin who have been running our baby toddler group for a considerable time. Kate has helped too on many occasions. Sadly, due to low take up of late we won’t be continuing with the group.
We are hoping to run occasional baby/toddler sessions for special occasions like Easter, Christmas etc
A huge thank you to all of you ☺️☺️

Primary Schools Choir Letter 2025.docx
Good morning everyone,
We have been contacted by the Caerphilly Music Service about an exciting opportunity for those within years 3-6, who have a talent for singing and would be interested in joining the Caerphilly Primary School Choir.
Attached is a letter which includes further details about this opportunity. Rehearsals will take place every Tuesday (during term time) from 4:00pm-5:00pm at Ysgol Gymraeg Penalltau in Hengoed and parents will need to transport their children to and from the venue on a weekly basis.
If your child is interested in joining this prestigious choir, then please scan the QR code within the letter to sign up and ensure that you are able to fully commit to transporting your child to and from the weekly sessions and possible future performances.
Please also let myself or Mrs Beard-Robbins know so we can stay updated as to who from our school is singing in the Caerphilly Primary School Choir.
Best wishes
Miss Needle
Morning all,
Yet again I find myself having to remind parent/carers about unsafe parking around the school.
This morning a little boy was nearly hit.
Under no circumstances should anyone be parking or even stopping on the zig zag lines.
You are not even permitted to park on zig zag lines if you are a blue badge holder.
Can I take this opportunity to thank all those parents who do park safely. Many of you park a little further away and walk, even on a wet day like today and it is hugely appreciated.
The children’s safety is my main concern. I will be contacting the local police for more help with this matter.
Many thanks,
Mrs Beard-Robbins
Morning all,
Reminder for you about the disco on Thursday:
The disco will run from 4.15-5.15 in both halls on Thursday February 13th. The cost will be £3 per child up to a maximum of £6 per family.
The £3 will cover the disco, unlimited squash and a few snacks.
The theme will be valentines day. All children whatever age they are must be collected from the disco.
If you are helping please come as near to 3.45 as possible.
Many thanks,
Mrs Beard-Robbins
Good Morning,
We're happy to announce that we will be going ahead with Breakfast Club for Nursery children after February half term.
All that have messaged me to say that they would like their child to attend, could you pop to the office to collect an admission form which I can forward to Mrs Rees.
Breakfast club starts at 8:10am. There is a member of the breakfast club staff on the gate until 8:20am, after this time you won't be able to gain access to school until the normal starting time.
Mrs Rees and her team are looking forward to greeting our new starters. There are plenty of activities from Arts and Crafts, snooker, board games etc. Plenty for all pupils of all ages.
Mrs Reardon 😊

Good Morning,
We’re looking at opening our Breakfast Club to Nursery children.
At the moment we’re looking at how many families would be interested in this service. If you are keen, could you reply to me on dojo and I’ll get back to you.
Thank you,
Mrs Reardon
Evening all,
I’ve heard from the PTA that only 2 parents/carers have come forward to help with the disco in a few weeks.
I’m afraid that unless we have at least 8 ( 4 for each hall) then I’ll have to cancel them.
A few staff are always happy to stay and suppprt but we cannot run these events on our own.
Please let the PTA know asap if you can help.
Many thanks,
Mrs Beard-Robbins
