Good Afternoon,
I have received an email today asking us to inform Year 5 & 6 pupils that Islwyn Schools rugby trials are being held at Oakdale RFC on the 9/10/21.
If you’re attending, you will need to be there by 9:00am for registration.
Children should wear appropriate clothing for rugby including, shorts, boots and socks. Jerseys will be provided.
Many Thanks,
Mrs Reardon
Morning all,
Just a reminder that tomorrow is our Flu Immunisation day.
If there is anyone who hasn’t returned the form, but wants their child to be immunised please return it first thing tomorrow.
We have spare forms in the office that you can collect today if you’ve lost it.
Thank you all,
Mrs Robbins
Good afternoon all,
Your views and thoughts are always vital to us in improving and ensuring we are always giving your child the best experience of education. Below is a quick questionnaire about your child's return to school. We would be very grateful if you could take a minute to fill it out. Please make sure that you answer all questions as failure to do so may mean we are unable to use your responses.
Thank you in advance.

MESSAGE FROM THE LOCAL AUTHORITY
Did you know the symptoms of Covid-19 have widened?
They now include a cough, high temperature, loss or change to smell or taste, fatigue, muscle and body aches, headache, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting and diarrhoea.
It's important to rule out Covid-19 by booking in for a quick and free PCR test at one of our many mobile testing units.
Relying on a lateral flow test when you have any of these symptoms could lead to a false result. To book a test, please call 119 or book a test via https://gov.wales/test-trace-protect-coronavirus
Please see our Newsletter section for a copy of the letter coming home today with our year 6 pupils from Newbridge comprehensive.
Morning all,
I hope everyone is well. We are all working so hard to reply to all your queries and messages about Covid and other matters and respond as quickly as we can on dojo.
It’s become more difficult for us due to the confusing guidelines from Welsh Government.
We really appreciate all those parents who are working with us through these difficult times. Thank you!
Going forward class dojo messages will now only be answered early evening. Any messages sent after 5.30 will be picked up the following morning.
The office phone is answered up until 4pm every evening and then again from 8.30am every morning.
Many thanks,
Mrs Robbins

Good afternoon,
Another pupil in this class has had a positive lateral flow today so will be going for a PCR test tomorrow to confirm the results.
Please be extra vigilant with your children over the next few days whilst we wait for the PCR result and please only send your children to school tomorrow if they are well.
If any of your children have any of the symptoms of Covid please book a PCR test as soon as possible.
Many thanks,
Mrs Robbins
