PLEASE FIND ATTACHED A LETTER FROM THE SCHOOL COUNCIL.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
The school council have discussed that they would like more outdoor equipment for the school yards. As a council we have decided that as well as buying new equipment, we could also ask parents of children at the school if they have any equipment that they wish to donate to the school that pupils could play with at break time and lunch time.
The school council are looking for items such as skipping ropes, hula hoops, footballs, or small world toys, figures and cars for the FP yard.
If your child is thinking of bringing in any equipment please make sure it is in good condition as everyone’s safety is very important to us.
If you wish to donate the items, please hand them in at the main office.
Thank you for your support
The School Council
Morning all,
We will be holding our pj day on Friday as we missed it before half term and lots of you got in touch with me to say you would like it to be re-arranged as the children were looking forward to it.
However, instead of keeping the donations for the school we will send the money to a registered charity working in Ukraine πΊπ¦.
This suggestions has come from the children and staff who all feel they would like to do something to help.
All donations are suggested not compulsory.
Usually we suggest around £1. On this occasion if you would like to give a little more you can.
Obviously if you have a few children in the school please just give what you can.
Thanks very much,
Mrs Robbins
Good afternoon,
Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is world book day. Children can come to school dressed as their favourite characters and bring their favourite book to school. In KS2 we will be encouraging children to share pages of their favourite books with other learners.
There will also be an opportunity for any children who wish to bring £1 to purchase second hand books should they wish.
We look forward to seeing the wonderful outfits and hearing about your children’s favourite books tomorrow.
Morning,
Happy St David’s Day to you all!
Just a reminder that children can wear club outfits, sports tops, rugby jerseys or anything red to school today as we celebrate St David.
Thank you,
Mrs Robbins
Please read the following communication from the Local Authority
Dear parent / carer,
The Met Office has now issued a RED weather warning for parts of the Caerphilly county borough on Friday 18th March. A RED weather warning is rare and indicates a risk to life and significant disruption.
Storm Eunice may cause significant disruption due to extremely strong winds. The Met Office currently advises:
The council, as Local Education Authority, has advised all schools in the area to switch to remote learning arrangements tomorrow (Friday 18th February) in order to keep pupils and staff safe.
We appreciate that this may cause some inconvenience, but the safety and wellbeing of the whole school community is paramount.
This decision has not been taken lightly, but red weather warnings are rare so we must respond accordingly.
Thank for four your co-operation and understanding in this matter.
Regards
Good afternoon all,
Apologies for the late notice but we will be closed tomorrow to all children and staff.
This is on the advice of the local authority. There is a red weather warning with risk to life and safety.
Everyone is advised to stay indoors and to not travel.
All teachers will provide some activities for online learning in the normal way using either dojo or Google classroom.
We look forward to welcoming all children back on Monday 28th and we will re-arrange our PJ day for after half term.
Kindest regards,
Mrs Robbins

Morning all,
We are currently looking for a relief dinner lady. This would be someone to cover if one of our dinner ladies is unwell or off work.
Please ring the office and ask to talk to Claire if you are interested.
This is subject to an enhanced police check as this role is working closely with children.
Thank you,
Mrs Robbins
