Unfortunately we are still without a lollipop lady and are uncertain as to when she will return.
The local authority advertised for a position after our previous lollipop lady left but unfortunately there were no applications. If you have any concerns regarding parking / crossing outside the school, please contact the local authority as the school has no control over the parking / crossing situation.
If you drive your children to / from school please be mindful of children crossing when nearing the school. If you have children in year 5 and 6 that walk to / from school on their own, please remind them to cross safely, not behind parked cars and to look both ways.
As soon as we have any further updates we will let you know.
Good morning all,
You can find a digital copy of this term's newsletters on our website, under Newsletter section.
We hope to send paper copies home as soon as possible, but there may be a delay as our photocopier is not happy!
The date to note firstly is next Monday's meet the teacher sessions which will run in all mainstream classrooms. The first will be 3.25pm and then a repeat at 3.45pm in case you have more than one child.
I know there are a few of you with more than two children so hopefully you can rope in a grandparent or another parent/carer to pass the info on to you.
If you are finding this difficult let us know and we can provide a paper or digital copy of any session you miss.
Many thanks,
Mrs Beard-Robbins
Good morning!
It’s back to school day! Just a little reminder that junior children come onto the yards on their own when the gates open at 8.50 and get ready to line up.
Our younger children should be taken to the classroom door by an adult.
If your child is in Y5 or Y6 and you want them to walk home you need to send a message to their teacher. They will not be allowed to do so until we have received a message.
Many thanks,
Mrs Beard-Robbins
Good evening all,
Just a reminder that it’s INSET day tomorrow and school starts back on Tuesday for pupils.
Staff will be able to answer any last minute questions on dojo from tomorrow..
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Summer and I look forward to seeing you all soon,
Kindest regards,
Mrs Beard-Robbins
We say goodbye to all of our Y6 today and wish them so many good wishes for their move to High School - we will miss them very much indeed!
We also say good bye to Mrs Seamons 🥲 who has been the most amazing Deputy Headteacher. We know how very lucky her new school are to have her ❤️
Thank you to Miss Smith and Miss Counsell too who joined us for the year. Good luck in your new job Miss Counsell and happy travelling Miss Smith. Miss Cornwell is also leaving us to train to be a teacher! She will be fabulous!
We are all very much looking forward to partying this summer too at Chynna’s wedding 💒
I would like to wish all parents/carers a wonderful Summer holiday.
Dojo won’t be monitored from 2pm today until September 1st.
Don’t forget school finishes at 2pm!
Morning all,
Can I take the opportunity to remind you that school finishes tomorrow at 2pm
(1.30 for bases).
It might be a good idea to send an empty carrier bag in today with your child/children in case they have any bits and pieces to bring home today.
For all children returning in September school starts on Tuesday September 2nd.
Y6 have their leavers disco tonight. All children in Y6 must be collected at 6pm and a plea to be on time 🕰️ please 🙏 as those of us staying to the disco will have been in school from 7.30/8 this morning after a super busy week.
A huge thanks to all staff for the wonderful trips this year! There’s lots of schools that don’t do exciting trips as staff might not be prepared to do the longer days but we have the most amazing team here at Cwmcarn ❤️
Mrs Beard-Robbins
Morning all,
Just a reminder for parents of Y3-6 for Tuesday and Wednesday.
On both days the buses are leaving very early. We will not be able to wait for latecomers and also if late and the bus is missed the money is not refundable so please set some extra alarms and be here at the time given.
If you have any questions please ring the office or message staff today.
Don’t forget if your child has asthma they cannot go without their pump and only a medical professional can say they no longer need it.
Many thanks,
Mrs Beard-Robbins
Good morning all,
I am delighted to announce that from September Mr Regulski will be Deputy Headteacher for a year in the first instance.
This was through a recruitment process involving a panel comprised of Governors and representatives from the Local Authority.
Huge congratulations Mr Regulski, I’m thrilled for you and the school.
