Message from Mrs Robbins;
I'm sure many of you will have seen the news that school will be re-opening on June 29th to all pupils for checks in and to catch up before September.
School will look very different during this time and we will not have any more than 1/3 of the school in the building at any one time. In reality most pupils will attend school one day a week. There will be different drop off and pick up times for each group of children. We are expecting further guidance next week from the Welsh Government.
I will be working with the staff, Governors and the Local Authority to plan this return to school, to make it as safe as possible for all involved.
You will also know that the minister has made it clear that there will be no fines or penalties for parents who choose not to send their children to school.
I would like to meet with my leadership team next week to sort the pupils into small groups as advised today.
Please could you help me by messaging your child's class teacher via ClassDojo, or via the school email, as to whether you plan to send your child back to school on June 29th for the catch up days or not.
It will be a more difficult job for us if we sort out the children's groups without knowing how many children to expect.
I will do my best to answer any questions you may have, with the information i have at the moment.
We have noticed that there are some parents who are not checking Class Dojo, so if those of you who are could let other parents know about this request to help us plan the return to school.
Many thanks for your help.
