    Good afternoon all,

For parents of children in Y5/6:

From Monday Y5/6 children are allowed to walk to and from school unaccompanied. This has been agreed with our Chair of Governors. There has been a significant decrease In coronavirus cases and we also need to prepare our Y6 for the independence they will need in September in Comprehensive.

Please ensure you talk to your children about waiting sensibly for their teacher at the start of the day as we do not supervise the lines outside of school.

If you do not wish your child to walk home alone please make sure you let the teacher know so that we don’t release them at the end of the day until we see the parent/carer.

Have a lovely weekend in the sunshine!

    Good morning,

We now have our own school Twitter page. Why not come and take a look and give us a follow ☺️ We will be using our page to post some updates, achievements and activities going on in and around school and the community.

Our school dojo will remain the main place for sharing information with you but Twitter will mean we can share our good news with other schools and the wider community.

Just a reminder that the school cannot be held responsible for any views or comments made by followers.

    Have a great day!

  • Mufti Day Friday 23rd April

    Tue 20 Apr 2021

    Good afternoon all,

We thought we would have a mufti day on Friday for the children.

If you would like to send in 50p or £1 we will add it to the money for Rosemary who I posted about earlier in the week.

Of course, if you have already sent in some money for Rosemary, which a small number of families have, please don’t feel you have to send in more.

Staff had a mufti day last Friday and we added our donations to the pot so it would be great to top it up a bit more!

As always, it’s a suggested donation so please don’t feel you have to. Your child can still come to school in mufti and enjoy the day.

    Thank you,

    Mrs Robbins

  • Sponsor Our Lovely Neighbour Rosemary

    Tue 13 Apr 2021

    Dear all,

Whilst I was out at the gate this morning I met one of our lovely neighbours, Rosemary, who lives in Caradoc Street. You may know that Captain Tom’s families has challenged people to take on challenges to raise money for their community.

Rosemary is attempting to walk 100 laps around the school and any money she raises she is giving 75% to our school and 25% to the Cwmcarn Christmas light appeal. What a brilliant gesture.

If you would like to sponsor Rosemary please could you send the money in to the school office.
Please don’t feel that you have to, however any amount would be most welcome.

A huge thank you to Rosemary for this lovely, kind gesture.

    Thank you,
    Mrs Robbins
