Morning all,
We will not be open today due to the site being very unsafe, staff unable to travel in and the likely forecast for the day.
All our other cluster schools ie. Newbridge, Abercan are also closed.
There will be some ideas of tasks for your children and some snow related play ideas on class pages on dojo if you would like to use them. They will be posted by 9.30.
Thanks very much for your understanding.
Mrs Robbins
Morning all,
We are having a few problems with dojo with lots of us getting identical messages from parents/carers so I thought it might really help to try to make it clearer who you need to message and when.
1) All absences should be sent to Mrs Reardon who manages attendance. You do not then need to message the teacher as well. Mrs Reardon passes all messages on.
2) If you have any questions or worries about your child you should message their teacher. The teacher will get back to you after they have finished teaching for the day, either that day or the following day or so.
3) If you have a very serious matter to discuss or you are unhappy about an answer you have been given by a member of staff then you should message myself or the Deputy Head, Mrs Seamons.
4) If your message is extremely urgent you should ring school as most of us check dojo every few hours but on a very busy day in school we may not check until the end of the day.
Thank you very much for helping us with this.
Mrs Robbins
If you take a little peek at our Twitter feed @CwmcarnS you will see the amazing effort made by all of our pupils and staff for World Book Day.
Have a lovely weekend!
😃
We are a day late celebrating but better late than never!
We are all looking forward to seeing outfits, enjoy lots of reading and celebrating books and authors.
Mrs Robbins
Good afternoon,
Just a reminder that school is closed to children tomorrow for the strike.
Then on Friday we are all dressing up for World Book day. I can’t wait to see the outfits.
Many thanks,
Mrs Robbins
Don’t forget it’s Eisteddfod day tomorrow!
Children can wear sports kits, club uniforms, Welsh tops or anything that has the colours of the Welsh flag - red, white and green.
We are really looking forward to celebrating together ❤️
We hope all our children and families have a lovely half term.
School finishes at the normal time today and we look forward to welcoming the children back on Monday 27th of February.
Dojo will not be monitored after 4pm today until we start back to school.
Kindest regards,
Mrs Robbins
Good evening all,
The strike that was postponed yesterday is now going ahead on Thursday March 2nd.
We don’t want the children to miss out on the dress up day for World Book day so this will now take place on Friday 3rd March.
So when the children start back after half term they will have the Eisteddfod on Wednesday 1st March, school will be closed to children on Thursday 2nd March and then we will celebrate World Book day on Friday 3rd March.
Many thanks,
Mrs Robbins
Morning all,
One more week to go until half term. We are looking forward to finishing off our open classrooms and stay and play this week with the older children.
Unfortunately Mrs Lloyd’s open classroom will need to be postponed for a few weeks.
Please could any of the grandparents who have volunteered for the grandparent reading on Fridays come and meet with me for a very short meeting on Wednesday at 3.20pm.
It’s also the last few days if you wanted to apply to be a midday supervisor.
Kindest regards,
Mrs Robbins
MPORTANT- STRIKE CANCELLED
Good afternoon all,
School will now be open on Tuesday as normal as the strike has been postponed.
The Welsh Government have engaged positively with the unions and so the strike is not going ahead.
Kindest regards,
Mrs Robbins
