Morning all,
Following on from the AGM of our Governing Body last night we have two vacancies on our Governing Body for parents/carers. This is due to terms of office ( 4 years) coming to an end.
The Governing Body works with the Headteacher to set the strategic direction of the school, monitors the school’s performance, makes decisions collectively and provides support and challenge for senior leaders.
The role of the school governor is demanding but very rewarding and a good way to give back to your local community.
All new governors will be required to undertake training and commit to attend meetings, committees and school events.
You need to be able to respect confidentiality, work as part of a team, have a willingness to improve children’s education and a firm understanding that you are not there to represent parents, but as a member of the Governing Body who is a parent.
If you are interested you can collect a nomination form from the office.
Parents/carers who work in the school cannot be considered.
If there are more than two nominations an election will be held and all parent/carers will be given the opportunity to vote.
There will be at least one nomination from a current governor who serves as a community governor but wishes to move over to parent governor role. There are however two vacancies.
Nominations close on Friday 29th of September.
If you would like any more information, or have questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kindest regards,
Mrs Robbins
Dear Parent/Guardian,
The School Nursing Service will be visiting the school to offer pupils a nasal flu spray vaccine on Friday 13th October 2023.
The consent form can be completed here: https://forms.office.com/e/eyggpck0Kf
Please submit one form per child no later than 48 hours before the above date. Any consent forms submitted after this time may result in your child not receiving their vaccine on the day. Should you have any difficulties accessing the above link, please contact 01633 431685 for further support.
It’s very important to protect your child from flu to make sure they stay as healthy as possible, as flu is likely to circulate this winter. The best flu vaccine for most children is a nasal spray. This is the vaccine that will be given on the day. For information about flu vaccination please visit phw.nhs.wales/fluvaccine.

Afternoon all,
We have had a brilliant first week in school. The children’s behaviour and listening has been superb.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend in the sunshine and that we see as many of you as possible in our ‘ Meet the Teacher’ ten minute sessions after school on Monday.
Enjoy the sunshine!
Mrs Robbins

Good afternoon all,
With the week ahead set to be extremely sunny, please make sure your children have sun tan lotion on before coming to school, a hat to protect their head ( with their name inside) and a drinking bottle with water.
Many thanks,
Mrs Robbins
Good morning,
I hope you all had a great school holiday. I just want to remind all that all lunches are free for primary aged children as of now. This includes Reception to Year 6 classes. Parents do not need to apply for this free meal.
Parents should still be encouraged to apply for free school meals if they are on benefits as they could be entitled to further benefits such as the School Essentials Grant.
All outstanding arrears for school meals will still be chased and collected.
We look forward to welcoming you back on Monday.
Many thanks,
Mrs Reardon
