Morning all,
We’ve had a lovely first week. Thank you so much as uniform has been excellent and everyone seems to be getting the hang of the new gate and entry/exit routines.
Don’t forget next week is stay and play for our youngest children. Due to the size of our classrooms only one parent/carer is permitted per child. If you are a separated family we suggest that whichever parent attended the last time, the other parent has a turn next week.
Here is a reminder for you:
Tuesday 1pm - Nursery
Wednesday 9.15 - Reception with Miss Pyle
Thursday 9.15 - Mrs Seamons class
Friday 9.15 - Miss Bliss
Any questions please dojo the teachers. Have a lovely weekend!
Mrs Robbins
Afternoon all,
Your January newsletter can be found in the Newsletter section of our webpage. Paper copies will also be sent home either today or Wednesday.
Many thanks,
Mrs Robbins
Morning all and a very ‘ Happy New Year’ to you all.
We start back to school tomorrow and are very much looking forward to seeing all the children for our next half term.
Reminder that Tuesday is a training day. Again - I can’t apologise enough, as you know I normally try to tag them to a weekend or holiday but the trainer doing our course on Tuesday, a course which is compulsory for us all legally, had limited days available.
I hope you all had a lovely Xmas and break. See you tomorrow.
Mrs Robbins
Morning all,
I’d like to wish all of our wonderful families, parents and carers an amazing Christmas and Happy New Year!
Sadly I missed this week as I’ve been really poorly with covid but I was so lucky to see all the concerts last week and had videos sent to me of this weeks. They were all outstanding.
Thank you for all of your ongoing support for our wonderful school.
Dojo won’t be monitored after 1.30 today when the children go home. We look forward to seeing you all in 2024.
Have a wonderful time,
Mrs Robbins

Vaping Safeguarding Alert: Please be aware
We have had 4 separate incidents involving 5 children who have used a vape and become unwell. It is thought the Vape may contain an illicit drug or toxin as when inhaled the children have become unwell and collapsed. The children received medical attention and support and are now well. At this time the 5 children involved are in the Caerphilly, Newport and Torfaen areas of Gwent. We want all parents and families across Gwent to be aware of this situation and be extra vigilant.
Should any parent be concerned that their child has used a vape containing an illicit drug or toxin, they should call 111 for advice or go to their nearest Emergency Department and report the situation to the police by calling 101.
Kind regards,
Tracy Daszkiewicz, Director for Public Health, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board

Good Afternoon,
Universal Primary Free School Meals (UPFSM)
It is Welsh Government’s aim that every child in primary school in Wales will be eligible for a universal primary free school meal (UPFSM) by 2024, regardless of household income.
In Caerphilly County Borough this is already the case and all full-time pupils in primary school can have a free school meal.
However it is important to know the difference between UPFSM and eFSM so that you can claim other benefits that go with eFSM
Eligible Free School Meal (eFSM)
Families who meet certain criteria, for example those on lower incomes or in receipt of certain benefits, may be eligible to apply for eFSM. Families in receipt of eFSM are also eligible to receive the Pupil Development Grant to buy school uniforms and equipment, sports kit and equipment for activities outside school.
If you think you might be eligible for eFSM please apply.
For more information about the eligibility criteria and the application process for eFSM please visit:
www.caerphilly.gov.uk/Free school meals
If you are already eligible for eFSM there is no need to apply again
Many thanks,
Mrs Reardon
We will be selling raffle tickets next week at each of the Christmas Concert performances at £1 per strip. All proceeds will go to the PTA funds to benefit the children.
There are some lovely prizes to be won with the BIG prize being the ‘Staff hamper’! All staff have contributed gifts to create a Christmas hamper for one lucky winner.
