It's all quiet in the dorms - your children are either fast asleep or about to drop off at any moment so we will say goodnight from all the staff and we will keep you posted tomorrow!
We are off site on activities tomorrow so we will upload photographs as soon as we come back in the evening when we have wifi!
Your children were AMAZING last night, quick to go to bed, quick to fall asleep, not so quick to get up this morning but now getting ready for the dorm inspection and breakfast!
Today we have Extreme Stream, low ropes and archery. Photos to follow!
We have had a busy, fun filled and energetic day hence the delay in adding to this page. This morning we headed into the woods for 'Xtreme Stream' where we got Xtremely wet and muddy! ALL of the children had an Xtremely awesome time. Thankfully Miss Vaughan left her camera in the mini bus as the children thoroughly enjoyed dunking her in the water!
This afternoon we took part in an archery competition and continued with our team building by using the low ropes to transport different items around the course. Mrs Jenkins and Miss Vaughan found this highly amusing! A huge well done to Efa and Dylan who made it onto the leaderboard for the week.
We finished the day by toasting marshmallows in the fire inside the round house. We told stories and shared our best memories of the trip so far. Hopefully the children will sleep tonight (though after all that sugar we're not holding our breath!)
Mrs Jenkins' group tackled the zip wire and the abseiling in the morning which everyone took part in and enjoyed, even though they were a little apprehensive at first!
In the afternoon we hit the beach and explored the caves and rock pools, we found some lovely shells to bring home but discovered they were actually the home of a Hermit crab!
We finished the afternoon off with a splash about in the sea!
The children had another fantastic nights sleep, we have been very lucky!
Today we have been canoeing on a beautiful lake and learning bushcraft skills in a wonderfully magical woodland with its own Hobbit house! The children learnt how to start a fire safely, make a shelter and toasted their food on the fire. Bear Grylls eat your heart out!
We finished our night off with a dazzling disco which involved the most epic dance off between Cwmcarn Primary and Ysgol Llangynnor!
The children spent a short time in their dorms sharing their experiences from the week before going to bed, ready to travel home and share their amazing memories with you all.
Morning everybody!
A quick lesson from Mrs Jenkins on how to pack a sleeping bag then packing and breakfast before we head home.
Everyone is excited to be seeing you all and sad to be leaving such an amazing place.
See you soon!
We are on the bus and ready for home!
It's been the most amazing week, Mrs Jenkins and Miss Vaughan have been incredibly proud of all of the children; behaving respectfully, showing off their team work skills, generally looking after one another and overcoming fears and challenges like a superhero!
