Morning! Hope you all had a lovely half term.
Class 8 will be continuing the topic of Roses and Royals to the end of this year. We still have much to learn about The Tudors and our Year 5 children will also be working hard with the end of year production.
After Easter Class 8 will be exploring how the Tudors contributed to Welsh history as we know it.
What can you find out in preparation for our new topic? What would you like to find out?
Bring your ideas and findings to school next term and help us investigate!
We will be starting 2017 by exploring this unique Country, from its towering temples and stunning geography to its pulsing rhythms and fun packed festivals.
Visit us in January to see how bright and colourful 2017 will be for Class 8!
Our topic this term is Stargazers. We will take on the greatest adventure that humankind has ever undertaken! We will navigate beyond the Sun, journey through space and investigate our Solar System! We look at the moon, investigate the planets and work scientifically to investigate gravity. We will explore all aspects of Space. Are we alone...?
This month there are several opportunities to spot the International Space Station as they continue their epic journey of discovery from Space. Click on the link below to find out more:
Our topic this term is Pits and Ponies and we're loving every moment of it so far!
We have been to Big Bit in Blaenavon and listened carefully to the ex miners who shared their experiences with us, as well as travelling 90m deep into the mine to wander around underground - It was fascinating!
We also wandered through a simulation which recreated the sounds of the mines when they were working, they must have been incredibly noisy!
Please look through the photos of our trip below to see how much fun we had!
