This term the children have made huge progress in writing, number and ICT especially! during enterprise week the children learnt to measure weight and capacity. They then applied these skills to make delicious peppermint creams which sold out at the Enterprise market in under ten minutes! yum yum!
In English we developed our descriptive writing by zooming in on a destination a character from a story we were reading about arrived at. The story is all about a polar bear who left his home because of global warming. We built a bank of adjectives and learnt that these can add interest to our writing and so making the reader both interested and informed!

Google Earth was used to search for the actual route Mary and Joseph took to Bethlehem over 2000 years ago. We then wrote our opinion of the best route. To form our opinion we gathered information from the App's tools like the heights of terrain, distance and time
We wrote about the Islamic story of creation. From this we were able to find similarities to that of the Christian version of the story of creation
We collected rubbish, presented our findings and informed our community of the damage plastic can do to our wildlife!
We interpreted a graph to learn about the plight of the Peregrine Falcon due to pesticides
Here, we took part in a Scientific Project for the TV show Autumn Watch! We had to log in to an online APP and count Kitty Wakes and Guillemots from a live cam!
