Miss Pyle

Welcome back after half term!

We have had a very busy start to the year settling in all the children, the children are all amazing and are enjoying moving between the Rainbow room and The Den and completing a variety of activities with the staff.

Just a reminder : Please can you return your Consent forms for the website - we are unable to add photo's on to the class page until we have had consent and we have some amazing photo's of the children to add. If you need a new form please ask on Monday - I will have some ready for you to collect.

Yesterday the children completed a dance-a-thon. The children had great fun dancing in the hall and we would all like to thank you all for amazing donations - all of the money will be spent on the outdoor area which I am sure will look amazing!!

Nursery will be completing a 'sing along' for their Christmas concert, so children will not need any costumes but we would like the children to wear a Christmas jumper etc when they are singing on the stage.

Reception will be joining the rest of the Foundation Phase to complete a production - we are hoping to send out letters next week with parts and costumes if needed.

                                                                  Welcome to Class 1

This week we have just had our Reception children in class to help them transition from Nursery to Reception. The children have all settled well into their new routine and the most exciting part of their new routine is ...... lunch time!! The children can not wait to see what is in their lunch bags or what is for school dinner and tuck into their lunch! The children have loved exploring their two classrooms this week and meeting all the new staff.

Our topic for this half term is  - How many colours in a rainbow?

During this topic children will be exploring what happens when you mix colours, melting and cooling, reading the colourful stories of Elmer and the Rainbow fish and so much more.

Can I please remind parents that if you would like your child to have fruit it is £1 per week, unfortunately we are unable to provide your child with fruit if they haven't paid.

PE day is on Thursday - can reception please leave their PE kit in a bag in school with names on both kit and the PE bag. PE kit consists of a white t - shirt and black shorts and if possible black daps as the children need to walk across the yard to get into the hall.
